According the the Airports Council International and their European list on traffic in the airports, Madrid Barajas is the one which suffered the highest passenger loss during the first three months in 2013. The tax increase caused some route closures and made some airlines like easyJet decrease traffic.The economic situation and the Iberia strike have also contributed in this passenger loss.Hence, the number of passengers has decreased in Madrid by 13.9% to reach 3.2 million in March.
