Evelop is the name which the Barceló Group has chosen for the new airline. It is to be 100% owned by Barceló Viajes SL. The Palma based Group.
Evelop will operate charter and schedule flights. This is the conclusion from the information stated in the initial plans of the group. Since one year and a half ago they have focused on the tour operator that they created.
Ms Antonia Barceló Tous is expected to become chief executive officer for the new airline.
The air division of the Barceló Group was so far made up from Orbest Poretugal. Since June, they have been operating flights from Spain to different domestic and international holiday destinations such us Punta Cana, Cuba and Cancún.
Having their own touroperator has been a priority to Barceló Viajes. Until now it was Globalia and Pullmantur which had a dominating position in those routes. Specially, after the Orizonia collapse.
